Koori Kinnections Coal Loader Site excursion is curated for tertiary groups, schools, vacation care groups and preschools.
Participants will learn about Aboriginal Culture (including the significance and purposes of rock engravings), history and sustainability. The program includes 3-4 components with a game to finish (K-6) if there's time:
- a 'hands on' session with traditional Aboriginal tools, weapons and resources.
- visit an Aboriginal rock engraving site (heritage)
- guided walk to a harbour look-out with stunning harbour views (learn about traditional use of waterways, resources gathered from the harbour, local Aboriginal history and significance of Sydney's harbour islands) OR a guide bush walk
- visit the Bush Tucker garden (learn about traditional and contemporary uses of native plants) - depending on availability of garden. If it's not available, the plant component will be include in the guided walk.
Pricing: 0-30 students/children $450 total. 41- 120 students/ children $15 per head.
